Marina with Chickens — Marina gives the chickens some scraps. You can see how high the snow if piled up outside the hoop house.

We had a big snow storm here in mid march. It has also been way below freezing. Inside the hoop house, though, the ground is still unfrozen, and the chickens are doing fine. It has worked really well as a winter home for the chickens.
